Drei Punkt Verlag's ongoing objective is to publish titles which span art and science. “Shedding Light” aims to combine photographic forms found in their man-made machinery with a collection of natural landscapes — all shot by their Chief Technical Officer Paulo Sarti. The task was to name, curate, write and design the book.

Finding similarities in the lighting of the man-made and natural landscapes led to the arrangement of the imagery; from the lightest image to darkest image (by measuring ink density). This visual gradient is accompanied by five poems that describe the physics of the human eye as it adapts from bright light to total darkness.
